On the day of your ultrasound guided breast biopsy at SMIL, you should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You will be asked to remove any piercings or metal close to the breasts. Prior to your ultrasound guided breast biopsy, you should let your SMIL radiologist know about any recent illnesses or medical conditions. You will also need to inform your SMIL radiologist about any medications you are currently taking.
